Installation Directions

A 2-pound hammer is suggested to install THE STAYKâ vertically into the ground by hammering. Install THE STAYKâ in the ground until the lower reference assembly Washer is level with the ground. DO NOT leave any or open space to remain between the lower washer and ground. Using your fingers, rotate the Rotation Sleeve around the Anchor Rod to assure there is no resistance in the movement. Repeat the same step with the Rotation Block. This key engineering feature must operate correctly to provide the 100% Tangle-Free operation of the tether anchor. Periodically check and verify that no soil or debris has removed ground (dirt/soil) from between the lower assembly Washer and ground exposing the Anchor Rod. Likewise, remove any debris that may have collected around or near the bottom of THE STAYKâ Rotation Sleeve and Anchor Rod.

If a gap has developed or evident below THE STAYKâ Rotation Sleeve and Anchor Rod due to removed grass or soil, hammer THE STAYKâ Anchor Rod down until the Lower Washer is once again level with the ground. If THE STAYKâ has been driven too far into the ground causing restriction of the Rotation Sleeve or Rotation Block operation, gently grasp and lift/pull straight up on THE STAYKâ using your leg force to move and provide the minimum clearance between the ground and Lower Washer to remove any rotation resistance. Acquire assistance with raising or removing THE STAYKâ from the ground. If the soil or ground is or becomes too soft or unable to support proper anchor support and/or operation of THE STAYKâ due to rain, natural soil properties, extended use of the product, etc., relocate THE STAYKâ to a different location obtaining the maximum available operation and protection of your investment and safe freedom for your Pet or Animal. Remove THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ. Insert the supplied washer on the anchor rod and then the GROUND SLEEVE on the Anchor Rod, Insert the complete assembly into the hole just produced in the ground. Hammer THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ with the GROUND SLEEVE into the ground until the Lower Assembly Washer is level with the ground. Remove THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ out of the GROUND SLEEVE and remove the Installation Washer. Reinsert THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ into the GROUND SLEEVE. The GROUND SLEEVE allows THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ to be removed and re-inserted after being stored or for mowing the lawn, etc. The GROUND SLEEVE is designed to be a permanent location for THE STAYKâ or PRO STAYKâ and not intended for removal and reinstalled in the soil.
